First everybody signed in!
                   Monarch Butterfly Volunteer Day

On Saturday March 25th, 33 volunteers from Beatty,Parhrump, Amargosa, and Birshop, Ca. arrived at The Nature Conservancy's Torrance Ranch in Beatty, Nevada.

It was a sweet and gentle day. Old and young and  new friends learned about planting milkweeds and other pollinator attracting plants . We hoped to become a certified" Monarch Butterfly Waystation."

The Southern Nevada Milkweed project arrived with experienced team leaders and taught  us about  milkweeds and how to plant them and protect the plants.
Richard Cantino  is my great friend who never ever stops volunteering for nature. Richard is a hard working member of the Red Rock Audubon Society of Pahrump and Las Vegas.  Thank you to Red Rock Audubon Society. Richard and Carol Cantino will host  another Monarch Butterfly Volunteer Day at Discovery Park in Parhump Nevada on Saturday April 23rd. Details on Red Rock Audubon website.
